Mercury empowerment Anushthan

Mercury empowerment Anushthan

In astrology, the planet Mercury (Budh) is considered the primary factor for intelligence, communication, business, reasoning ability, and mathematics. It is associated with the Earth element among the five elements, and its color is green. The influence of Mercury deeply affects a person’s mental balance, eloquence, business acumen, and reasoning skills. A well-placed and strong Mercury in the horoscope grants sharp intellect, success in business, and effective communication abilities. Conversely, a weak or afflicted Mercury causes confusion, mental stress, failure in business, and reduced communication skills. The malefic effects of Mercury can lead to memory loss, headaches, skin disorders, seizures, and physical ailments related to imbalance of phlegm and bile (Kapha-Pitta).

If Mercury (Budh) is weak in the horoscope, it becomes extremely important to strengthen it. The most effective way to empower Mercury is through the Mercury empowerment Anushthan,' a powerful ritual that reduces Mercury’s malefic effects and enhances its positive energy.

Procedure of Mercury empowerment Anushthan

In the Mercury empowerment Anushthan, Vedic mantras dedicated to the planet Mercury are chanted. During this ritual, the Mercury mantra is repeated 36,000 times, followed by chanting one-tenth of that count and then performing a prescribed Havan (fire ritual) according to Vedic rites.

However, it is important to note that the full benefits of this ritual are realized only when it is conducted strictly according to the scriptural guidelines. The chanting and Havan should be performed by experienced and skilled priests to ensure maximum effectiveness of the ceremony.

Benefits of Mercury empowerment Anushthan

This ritual strengthens the energy of the planet Mercury (Budh), enabling the individual to receive all the positive qualities associated with Budh. With the blessings of Budh Grah, the person experiences enhanced communication skills, logical reasoning, mental peace, and progress in business. A strengthened Budh Grah brings success in every sphere of life, along with improved memory and decision-making abilities. Additionally, this ceremony helps to bring balance and prosperity into one’s life.

Benefits of Mercury empowerment Anushthan

1. Increase in Intelligence and Memory: This ritual strengthens mental clarity, decision-making ability, and memory power. It is especially beneficial for students and researchers.

2. Improvement in Communication Skills: Enhances effectiveness of speech, eloquence, and presentation skills, thereby increasing one’s social and professional influence.

3. Support in Business Success: Awakens the positive energy of Budh, providing wisdom, profit, and stability in business decisions.

4. Relief from Mental Stress and Confusion: Removes mental stress, confusion, or disorder caused by the adverse effects of Budh, bringing mental balance.

5. Relief from Skin and Nervous Disorders: Helps alleviate skin diseases, headaches, neurological problems, and imbalances related to Kapha-Pitta doshas.

6. Increase in Logical and Mathematical Abilities: With Budh’s blessings, there is a notable improvement in logical thinking, analytical skills, and mathematical understanding.

Worship Procedure of Mercury empowerment Anushthan

In astrology, Budh Grah (Mercury) represents intelligence, reasoning power, communication skills, mathematical understanding, and business acumen. When Budh is weak in a person's horoscope, placed in unfavorable houses, afflicted by enemy planets, or during the period (Mahadasha/Antardasha) of Budh, performing the Budh Grah Balisht Anushthan proves to be highly beneficial.

This ritual is conducted through a special Vedic method, which involves chanting mantras, chanting a fraction (dashansh) of the total repetitions, and performing a Havan to awaken and enhance the positive energy of Budh.

Preparation Before the Pooja

1. Selection of Place

The ritual is performed at a pure, peaceful, and sacred place—such as a temple, sacrificial fire, or any location where divine presence is felt.

2. Navagraha Worship and Kalash Installation

All nine planets (Navagrahas) are invited, and the ritual begins with the installation of the Kalash and worship of the Mandal. Special emphasis is given to invoking and worshiping Budh Grah (Mercury) according to proper procedures.

Main Worship Procedure

• Sankalp (Resolution)

Qualified priests take a formal resolution including the name, gotra, place, uration, and purpose of the ritual on behalf of the yajman (devotee).

• Shodashopachar Poojan

A yantra or symbol of Budh Grah is installed and worshiped with purified water, Panchamrit, flowers, incense, lamps, naivedya (offering), and sixteen different types of offerings as per the Shodashopachar ritual.

• Vedic Mantra Chanting

The priests collectively chant the Vedic mantras of Budh. A total of 36,000 mantras are chanted, divided over the prescribed number of days to complete the ritual.

• Dashansh Japa and Havan

After completing the main chanting, one-tenth portion (3,600 times) of the mantra chanting is performed followed by the Havan. This Havan acts as a medium to channelize Budh’s energy into the devotee’s life.

• Final Offering and Conclusion

At the end, the final oblation (Purnahuti) is offered, followed by Aarti and flower offerings (Pushpanjali). The ritual is formally concluded with the service of the priests, Dakshina (offering), and their blessings.
