1. Initial Preparation for the Anushthan

During the anushthan, it is essential to follow sattvic conduct and observe complete celibacy (Brahmacharya). 2. Selection of the Right Time and Place

Establishment of the Chowki:

First, spread a red cloth on a wooden platform (Chowki) and place the idol of Lord Hanuman upon it. Ensure that the image or idol of Hanuman Ji also includes Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita, and Lakshman, as Hanuman Ji’s devotion is rooted in the service of Lord Ram. Sit facing either the east or south direction.

Beginning of the Puja:

Before starting any auspicious work, it is essential to offer prayers to Lord Ganesha, as He is regarded as the first deity to be worshipped. After this, invoke Lord Shri Ram and Hanuman Ji.

Lighting the Lamp:

Light a lamp using cow ghee or sesame oil and ensure that it remains lit continuously throughout the recitation.
