1. Purification of Place and Establishment of Vedi

• First, a calm and holy place is selected.

• The land and the yajna kund (sacrificial fire pit) are purified with cow dung, Ganga water, and darbha grass to eliminate negative energies.

• The yajna mandap (sacred area) is decorated with auspicious items like cloth, sacred leaves, flowers, garlands, and symbols such as Swastika.
