Terms & Conditions for Astrologers
1. Introduction & Scope
1.1 This Agreement governs the relationship between the Sanatan Jyoti (a product of Gauritechtrade Consulting Pvt. Ltd.) and the astrologers who are onboarded on the platform.
1.2 The scope of this Agreement is strictly limited to astrology-related services, which include:
- a) Kundli analysis and horoscope reading
- b) Chat, call, or video consultations
- c) Preparation and delivery of reports
- d) Remedies and guidance (only lawful practices)
1.3 Astrologers are strictly prohibited from offering the following services:
- a) Black magic, tantra, jadu-tona, vashikaran, or any other illegal practices
- b) Medical or legal advice (as these are outside the scope of astrology)
- c) Financial guarantees, investment predictions, or money-related assurances
- e) Predicting the gender of an unborn child (fetus) or giving any guidance related to pregnancy outcomes, or childbirth gender.
2. Eligibility & Onboarding Criteria
2.1 Minimum eligibility requirements for astrologers:
- a) Age: Must be 18 years or above
- b) Education: Knowledge or certification in astrology is preferred
- c) Ethics: Should not have any fraud or criminal record
2.2 The onboarding process will include:
- a) Submission of the application form through the platform
- b) Document verification (identity, bank details, qualifications)
- c) Background check conducted by the Company
- d) Final approval by the Company’s internal team
2.3 The Company reserves the right to approve or reject any astrologer without giving specific reasons.
3. Identity Verification & KYC Policy
3.1 Mandatory documents required from astrologers:
- a) PAN Card (mandatory for payment processing and tax compliance)
- b) Government-issued Photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License)
- c) Bank Account details (with matching name as per PAN Card)
- d) Recent passport-size photograph
3.2 KYC process steps:
- a) Upload of documents on the platform
- b) Internal verification by the Company’s compliance team
- c) Approval or rejection notification via email or app
3.3 Company rights:
- a) To reject KYC if documents are found fake or invalid
- b) To block accounts with duplicate profiles or mismatched details
- c) To conduct regular re-verification if required
3.4 Until KYC is approved, the astrologer cannot start providing live services on the platform.
4. Code of Conduct for Astrologers
4.1 Astrologers must always maintain respectful, professional, and ethical behavior with clients.
4.2 Strictly prohibited activities include:
- a) Using abusive, offensive, or disrespectful language
- b) Sharing personal contact details (phone number, WhatsApp, UPI, social media, etc.)
- c) Offering black magic, jadu-tona, Vashika ran, or any other illegal remedies
- d) Giving financial guarantees, lottery predictions, or investment-related assurances.
- e) Predicting the gender of an unborn child (fetus) or giving any guidance related to pregnancy outcomes, or childbirth gender.
4.3 Astrologers must not mislead, threaten, or emotionally exploit clients in any way.
4.4 If this Code of Conduct is violated, the Company has the right to:
- a) Issue a warning
- b) Temporarily suspend the account
- c) Permanently terminate the account
5. Service Delivery Guidelines
5.1 Astrologers are responsible for delivering services on time and with the promised quality standards.
5.2 Basic service delivery rules:
- a) Accept chat, call, or video consultations on time
- b) Deliver reports within the promised time-frame
- c) Provide remedies that are authentic and lawful
- d) Answer client queries clearly and avoid misleading or vague replies
5.3 In case of client dissatisfaction:
- a) Clients may raise a complaint through the platform
- b) The Company will review and investigate the complaint
- c) If the astrologer is found at fault, penalties or compensation may be applied
6. Pricing & Revenue Sharing Policy
6.1 The pricing structure will be defined by the Company and will be visible on the app.
6.2 Consultation charges and report fees for each astrologer will be updated on the Company’s dashboard.
6.3 The revenue sharing ratio (Astrologer : Company) will be decided later and communicated in writing.
6.4 The Company reserves the right to:
- a) Revise pricing based on market conditions
- b) Apply discounts, coupons, or promotional offers
- c) Adjust the final payable amount to the client (after GST and applicable taxes)
7. Payment Settlement
7.1 The Company will define the payment cycle which will be either weekly or monthly.
7.2 Payment settlement rules:
- a) The total payment received from clients will be GST included.
- b) The Company will calculate the Astrologer’s share on the GST excluded amount.
- c) The revenue-sharing percentage between the Company and the Astrologer will be discussed and finalized at the time of interview or before signing this Agreement.
- d) The final payable balance will be credited to the Astrologer’s registered bank account.
7.3 The Company reserves the right to update the payout schedule or method, with prior notice to the astrologer.
8. Confidentiality & Data Protection Policy
8.1 Astrologers must keep all client information strictly confidential.
8.2 Prohibited actions for astrologers:
- a) Sharing client birth details, reports, or chats with any third party
- b) Using client data for personal or commercial purposes
- c) Transferring client data outside the app (via WhatsApp, Email, or Social Media)
8.3 Company commitments:
- a) Astrologer’s personal details (PAN, Aadhaar, Bank details) will be kept secure
- b) Data will only be shared when required for regulatory or compliance purposes
- c) The platform will maintain end-to-end encryption and privacy standards
9. Non-Solicitation & Anti-Competition Policy
9.1 Astrologers must not offer or provide services to Sanatan Jyoti clients outside the app.
9.2 Strictly prohibited activities:
- a) Taking direct payments through WhatsApp, UPI, Paytm, or PhonePe
- b) Redirecting clients to personal social media pages or websites
- c) Copying or leaking the Company’s client database
9.3 If above rules are violated, the Company has the right to:
- a) Immediately suspend or terminate the astrologer’s account
- b) Hold pending payments
- c) Take legal action for business losses
10. Review & Rating Policy
10.1 Clients have the right to give ratings and reviews after receiving services from an astrologer.
10.2 Review system rules:
- a) Reviews must be based on genuine client experiences
- b) Astrologers cannot force clients to give reviews
- c) Fake or manipulated reviews are strictly prohibited
10.3 Company rights:
- a) Remove abusive, spam, or irrelevant reviews
- b) Showcase genuine reviews for transparency
- c) Use astrologer ratings for monitoring and evaluation
10.4 Rating impact:
- a) High ratings = better visibility and promotion on the platform
- b) Consistently low ratings = performance review and possible suspension
11. Dispute Resolution & Grievance Redressal
11.1 Disputes between astrologer and client:
- a) The client can raise a complaint through any means.
- b) The Company’s grievance cell will review the complaint
- c) The astrologer will get a fair chance to explain their side
11.2 Disputes between astrologer and Company:
- a) The grievance redressal team will first try to resolve the issue
- b) If unresolved, the matter will go through mediation or arbitration
- c) Final jurisdiction will lie with the competent courts of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh
12. Termination & Exit Policy
12.1 Astrologers can request to terminate their account by giving written or email notice.
12.2 The Company may terminate an astrologer’s account if:
- a) Terms & Conditions are repeatedly violated
- b) Fraud, misrepresentation, or misconduct is proven
- c) Services are consistently of low quality or ratings remain poor
12.3 After termination:
- a) Pending payments (after deductions) will be cleared
- b) The astrologer’s profile will be deactivated from the platform
- c) Previous chats/reports with clients will be retained for records
13. Penalty & Fine Structure
13.1 If an astrologer breaks the rules, the Company may take step-by-step action:
- a) First violation → Warning
- b) Repeated violation → Temporary suspension
- c) Severe violation → Permanent ban & payout hold
13.2 Situations where penalties may apply:
- a) Providing fake or copy-paste reports
- b) Misguiding or emotionally exploiting clients
- c) Taking Company’s clients outside the app
- d) Using abusive or disrespectful behavior
13.3 Penalties may also be monetary, and deductions can be made directly from payouts.
14. Compliance with Laws
14.1 Astrologers must always follow Indian laws, including but not limited to:
- a) Information Technology Act, 1900
- b) Consumer Protection Act, 1918
- c) GST & Income Tax regulations (as applicable)
14.2 The Company will also follow all applicable laws and maintain proper compliance.
14.3 In case of any government or legal inquiry, astrologers must fully cooperate with the Company.
15. Relationship Clause
15.1 The relationship between the Astrologer and the Company will be that of an independent consultant, not an employee.
15.2 This means:
- a) Astrologers will not receive employee benefits like PF, ESI, gratuity, or bonus.
- b) Astrologers can maintain their own working style and timing (within the rules of the platform).
- c) Astrologers will be responsible for their own professional liabilities.
15.3 The Company’s role is limited to providing the platform, facilitating services, and connecting astrologers with clients.
16. Training & Quality Assurance Policy
16.1 The Company will provide training and guidance to astrologers from time to time to ensure service quality and professionalism.
16.2 Training may include:
- a) Online workshops and webinars.
- b) Recorded training materials and guidelines.
- c) One-to-one mentoring (if required).
16.3 Quality will be monitored through:
- a) Random call/chat monitoring to check service standards.
- b) Client feedback and rating analysis.
- c) Regular performance reviews.
16.4 If an astrologer repeatedly fails to meet quality standards, corrective actions may be taken, such as additional training, temporary suspension, or termination.
17. Marketing & Promotions Policy
17.1 The Company will promote astrologers through both digital and offline campaigns.
17.2 Promotional activities may include:
- a) Social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter).
- b) Paid advertisements (Google Ads, Meta Ads).
- c) Website banners, newsletters, and push notifications.
17.3 For promotions, the following astrologer details may be used:
- a) Name, photo, and designation.
- b) Short bio and specialization.
- c) Ratings and client testimonials.
17.4 Astrologer consent:
- a) By joining, the astrologer agrees that their profile may be used for marketing purposes.
- b) The Company will not misuse or misrepresent the astrologer’s content.
18. Amendments & Updates Policy
18.1 The Company reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
18.2 Amendment process:
- a) Any changes will be notified to astrologers through email or app notifications.
- b) The updated version will be published on the app with the effective date.
- c) Astrologers must accept the new terms in order to continue providing services.
18.3 If an astrologer does not accept the new terms:
- a) They will have the option to voluntarily terminate their account.
- b) Pending payouts (after deductions) will be cleared.
19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
19.1 This Agreement will always be governed by the laws of India.
19.2 If any legal dispute arises that cannot be resolved through mediation or arbitration:
- a) The final jurisdiction will be the competent courts of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
- b) Both the Astrologer and the Company agree to be bound by this jurisdiction.
19.3 This clause ensures that all disputes are resolved under a clear and legally enforceable framework.
20. Acceptance of Terms
20.1 Before being onboarded on the Sanatan Jyoti app, every astrologer must read, understand, and accept this Agreement.
20.2 Ways of giving consent:
- a) Clicking the “I Agree” button (digital consent).
- b) Completing the digital KYC/onboarding process.
- c) Starting services on the platform, which will be considered as automatic consent.
20.3 Once accepted, the astrologer will be legally bound to follow all the clauses, rules, and policies mentioned in this Agreement.
