Procedure of the Ati Rudra Anushthan

The ritual should be performed only by qualified Acharyas. Maintain complete purity and follow the rules during the Rudrabhishek.

1. Select an auspicious day and time for the ritual.

2. Clean the place of worship and install the Shivalinga.

3. First, Lord Ganesha is worshipped to remove obstacles.

4. A Kalash is established for the worship of Lord Shiva.

5. The sequence of Maharudra recitation continues for 11 days by 11 experienced Acharyas.

6. Along with this, the ritual of Namak Chamak Rudrabhishek is also performed for th especial pleasure of Lord Shiva.

7. Abhishek is performed on the Shivalinga with Ganga water, milk, curd, honey, ghee, sugarcane juice, etc.

8. Mahamrityunjay mantra and Rudri are chanted.

9. Offerings are made in the Havan Kund with ghee, Havan materials, and herbs.

10. Finally, Lord Shiva's Aarti is performed, and Prasad is distributed.

11. After the completion of the ritual, Dakshina and food should be provided to all Brahmins according to one's capacity.

Worship Materials

Materials for Abhishek: - Ganga water or purified water, raw milk, curd, pure ghee, honey, sugar, Bilva leaves, Kusha (a special type of sacred grass), sandalwood (powder or paste), white cloth or Rudraksha mala.

Materials for Havan: - Mango wood, ghee, black sesame seeds, white sesame seeds, rice, jaggery, camphor, cloves, cardamom, assorted dry fruits, coconut.

Puja and Other Materials:- An idol or Shiva Linga of Lord Shiva, Rudraksha mala, a mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar), incense sticks, incense sticks oil or ghee lamp (using sesame oil or ghee), garlands and fresh flowers, fruits and sweets (for offering), a Kalash (for filling water), betel nut, betel leaves, vermilion, sacred thread, unbroken rice grains, sacred ash or Vibhuti, and Rudra chanting book.
