The word "Yoga" means to unite. It connects the mind, body, and soul. Who benefits from yoga? What is it in Yoga that works like nectar for the mind, body, and intellect?

Yoga is actually a unique form of exercise that aims to develop the balance of the body, mind, and soul. By practicing various Yoga Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation, and Mudras, one can improve physical and mental health. The practice of Yoga exercises can eliminate diseases such as anxiety, restlessness, and unrest because it brings stability and tranquility to the mind.

Yoga is an exercise that can be easily adopted by everyone. It is suitable for women, men, children, the elderly, businessmen, students, construction workers, and all age groups. Therefore, Yoga is considered a symbol of universality and harmony, where everyone can come together to practice Yoga.

Its effective practice improves physical strength, flexibility, balance, physical agility, respiratory control, mental stability, concentration, and self-reflection.

The origin of yoga dates back to ancient times in the land of India, and it is true that Yoga is an integral part of our ancient religious and cultural heritage. In the past, there were no specific exercise facilities exclusively for women. However, Yoga is an exercise that every woman can practice in the comfort of her own home.

Over time, various Yoga Gurus have introduced new Yoga mudras, making it easily accessible in every era. Even in today's modern life, Yoga has become highly significant. Prolonged sitting on chairs in modern workplaces has led to an increase in muscular ailments such as back pain and stiffness in joints. Sitting for long periods of time contributes to physical and mental stress. Yoga is highly beneficial in addressing these ailments and reducing stress. There are certain Yoga mudras that can be practiced while sitting on a chair as well.

As communication technology advanced over time, people around the world began to discover the benefits of Yoga. In every country, people started connecting with Yoga and found success in making their lives more fulfilling through its benefits. Consequently, Yoga gained significant recognition at the international level. In 2015, our honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, initiated the establishment of International Day of Yoga. This day is celebrated annually on June 21st as Yoga Day. On this day, various Yoga Camps, Yoga practice programs, and Yoga-related seminars are organized at different locations. The significant purpose of International Yoga Day is to create awareness about Yoga among people and encourage them towards a healthy and positive lifestyle. Through this day, the importance of Yoga is promoted, and people are made aware of the natural techniques and benefits of yoga practice. It sensitizes individuals towards their physical and mental well-being, and motivates them towards a healthy and peaceful life.
